🍛 Home-cooked, neighbourhood-fresh

The taste of home, from cooks in your neighbourhood

Real food from real kitchens — not cloud kitchens, not chain restaurants. Every cook is FSSAI-licensed, manually vetted by us, and shares a weekly video of their kitchen so you know exactly where your meal comes from.

🛡️ Your safety, our priority

Eight checks before food reaches your plate

Aggregators ship at the speed of convenience. We move at the speed of trust. Every cook on Homecook passes the same gates a health inspector would look for.

Your safety, our priority

Nine real checks before food reaches your plate.

📋

FSSAI license — verified by us

Every cook submits their 14-digit FSSAI registration. A Homecook admin manually verifies it against the government FoSCoS database before they can list. The license number is shown publicly on every dish, with a ✓ Verified badge.

🎬

Weekly kitchen video

Cooks upload a fresh video of their own kitchen every 7 days. If it lapses, their dishes vanish from the marketplace automatically until they re-upload. You can watch it on the cook's profile before you order.

🤝

Invite-only — no walk-ins

New cooks can't just sign up. They need a referral link from an existing approved cook, who's vouching for them. That cook's reputation is on the line, which keeps the bar high.

🥗

Ingredients + allergens, no hiding

Every dish lists its full ingredients and ticks any of the 9 common allergens it contains (dairy, gluten, nuts, sesame…). Veg / Egg / Non-veg / Jain markers use India's standard food-label dots.

📅

Made today, sold today

Listings expire end-of-day IST every evening. Cooks have to re-publish each morning, so you're never ordering yesterday's reheated batch. The quantity counter shows exactly how many servings are left.

Reviews only from real buyers

A cook can only be reviewed by a buyer who has actually received and confirmed a completed order — not by random accounts. Cooks can respond publicly, but they can't delete reviews.

Two-sided order confirmation

The cook marks your order ready. You confirm receipt only after the food is in your hands. If something's wrong, you can raise a dispute — and Homecook admins step in. Cooks don't get credited until you say so.

🚨

Built-in dispute resolution

Disputes get flagged to admins immediately with the buyer's reason attached. We can pause a cook's account, refund the buyer, and follow up directly. Foodborne illness reports are escalated within 24 hours.

📍

You decide who can find you

Cooks choose whether their dish is visible only to their building, their pin code, their city, or everyone — so you can stick to people in your neighbourhood whose kitchen you've actually walked past.

We're not perfect — no marketplace is. But we're not trying to be the cheapest or the fastest. We're trying to be the one your mom would say is okay to order from.

How Homecook works

Three simple steps, whether you're cooking or eating.

1

Browse what's cooking

See dishes from FSSAI-verified cooks nearby. Filter to your pin code or follow your favourite cook for first dibs.

2

Order in seconds

Place the order and the cook gets a notification. They confirm, prep your meal, and arrange pickup or delivery.

3

Eat, rate, repeat

Pay via UPI, leave a star rating, and follow cooks you love so you never miss what they're making next.

For home cooks

Turn your kitchen into a tiny restaurant

Cook what you love. Set the number of servings you can make today. Pick who can order — your building, your pin code, or anyone. Listings reset every evening so you stay in control.
